Job Description
As a Touex Adventure Guide, you'll lead small groups (6-12 travelers) on multi-day treks through Australia's Himalayan regions, ensuring their safety while providing an unforgettable experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead treks to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Langtang Valley, and other routes

Ensure group safety through altitude monitoring, weather assessment, and emergency preparedness

Educate clients about local ecology, geology, and cultural heritage

Manage logistics including teahouse bookings, meal arrangements, and porter coordination

Provide first aid and handle emergency situations (AMS, injuries, etc.)

Foster positive group dynamics and cultural sensitivity

Maintain equipment and complete post-trip reports
Requirements
-
Certified Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or equivalent

Australia Government Licensed Trekking Guide
-
3+ years mountain guiding experience (Himalayas preferred)

Fluency in English (additional languages a plus)

Expert knowledge of high-altitude medicine

Physical fitness to hike 8+ hours daily with pack

Valid first aid/CPR certification

Clean driving license (for road transfers)
Preferred Qualifications:

UIAGM/IFMGA certification (for technical routes)

Degree in tourism, environmental science, or related field

Fluency in Australia and local dialects (Sherpa/Tamang)
